Q: How long do your speed dates last?
A: Each Indiana Speed Date "date" lasts four minutes. We think three minutes is a little too quick, especially when you are interested in the person and having a good conversation. That extra minute from three to four doesn't sound like much, but in speed dating time, it really is. And, if you don't feel that there is chemistry between you and your date, five or six minutes seems like a lifetime. So we believe four minutes is the ideal amount of speed date time per date to determine if you would like to pursue a second date with that person.

Q: What are the age ranges for your events?
A: We change our age ranges periodically, so you will have to check our upcoming events page to see what age groups we have scheduled.

Q: How many people will I date?
A: We will have between 15 and 25 men and women per event. If less than 15 sign up, we will reschedule the event and refund in full those who can't attend. We never have lopsided events where there are ten or more of one gender than the other. Plus, we think anything over 25 is complete overkill. It really does become dizzying after about 20 or 25, and you have a hard time remembering anything about anyone. 30 or more is way too many and very tiring, and anything below 15 is not worth your time or money.

Q: How much does it cost to attend one of your events?
A: Our regular events are always only $35. Sometimes we will have special events which may be more or less. This will be clearly posted if this is the case. There are never any long term contracts or anything to join.

Q: How do I register for one of your events?
A: 1. Go to our 'Upcoming Events' page and find the age range that you fit into.
2. Click on the 'Register for this event?' button listed there.
3. Answer some basic personal information.
4 Click on the 'Register for this event?' button again to go to the payment area.

Q: How do I pay for the event?
A: You can pay by check or by credit card. If you choose to pay by check, we need to receive the check in advance. If you pay by credit card, you will be taken to the PayPal site to pay online.

Q: I've never paid with my credit card on the internet before. Is it safe to do this?
A: It is completely safe and secure. We us PayPal to process our payments. Paypal is the top rated and most widely used secure online payment transaction processor on the internet. Your credit card information will not be compromised with PayPal.

Q: Are there any breaks during the dating event?
A: There will be one or two breaks during the speed dating event. This allows time for you to use the restroom, get a refreshment, or mingle some more with others.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Whatever you would normally wear if you were to go on a date, or 20 dates. Most people come dressed as business casual, but not all.

Q: Where are Gatsby's Pub & Grill and The Vu located?
A: Gatsby's Pub & Grill is on the northwest side of Indy at 6335 Intech Commons Drive. This is basically W. 71st street and I-465, where the technology park called Intech Park is located. The Vu is located at 5909 E. 86th street. This is not really right on 86th, but directly behind the Max & Erma's on 86th (behind Castleton Mall).
